Abstract

The establishment of verbal communication in the process of communication can be explained by the orientation of metacommunicative signals between the participants of communication and by the desire of the interlocutors to interact. The opinions of the speaker and the addressee differ in the context of phraseological interrogative sentences which serve to establish verbal communication to support communication. The interrogative pronouns used by the speaker are usually applied to ensure that the information conveyed is received by the addressee, to activate it and to attract the attention of the addressee: Can / Could + Pr + Inf…? models use questionnaires with a fixed content. These expressions are often used in neutral, formal and everyday situations when strangers and less familiar people communicate. In such cases, communication is considered as a labor activity in general, and to facilitate it, special attention should be paid to the rules of politeness - speech etiquette.
