Abstract

This article is about the magicians in fairy tales. In English fairy tales, the role of magicians is often played by their substitutes - animals with magical powers (horses, gray wolves, goats, bears, cows, etc.). In addition, as in many synonymous words, the lexeme of a magician also has methodological meanings such as positive and negative (magician-positive, witch-negative, magician-neutral). Another aspect is that in different fairy tales the person in the image of a magician is represented in different ways, for example, a magician girl, a magician king, a witch queen, a magician old woman
