APPLICATION OF CELLULOLYTIC ENZYMS IN AGRICULTURE

Abstract

The properties of representatives of enzymes, i.e. individual enzymes of the cellulase system, as well as their interaction in the composition of the cellulase complex, determine their efficiency in the hydrolysis of cellulose-containing substrates, especially with a heterogeneous composition and properties. As usual, the cell walls woody plants have a complex, highly durable, i.e. highly crystalline structure, which primarily determines their resistance not only to chemical, but also to microbial degradation. Their decomposition, in natural conditions, is carried out mainly by basidiomycetes and soil filamentous fungi in a fairly long time [1].
