Abstract

Migraine and thyroid dysfunction are common diseases in the population. The prevalence of
thyroid dysfunction in the general population varies from 4.8 to 9 percent, and the prevalence
of headache in patients with hypothyroidism varies from 14 to 73 percent in various studies.
It has been known for many years that headache is observed with other symptoms in
hypothyroidism. In recent years, the comorbidity of migraine and hypothyroidism has begun
to be studied, and a number of conflicting opinions have emerged. Thus, the study of the
comorbidity of migraine and thyroid dysfunction is one of the actual tasks of the medicine.
