Abstract
Substances of natural origin, including coumarin derivatives, have recently attracted an increased interest of pharmacologists and toxicologists due to their wide spectrum of biological activity, usually low toxicity and absence of side effects. The physiological effect of coumarin itself on humans is very weak. However, coumarin has a noticeable effect on various plants. In coumarin derivatives, the physiological effect is more pronounced.
