COMPARATIVE FEATURES OF MORPHOMETRIC CHANGES IN THE ULTRASONIC ANATOMY OF THE THYROID AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN 9 YEARS OF AGE
Main Article Content
Abstract
The thyroid gland is the "conductor" of the whole organism; it stimulates the growth and development of bones, nervous tissue, cardiovascular and digestive systems. Thyroid hormones (thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine) are responsible for the timely production of nutrients in precisely those tissues that have the greatest need for energy. Over the past decades, iodine deficiency in the environment and the iodine deficiency diseases (IDD) caused by it have been relevant worldwide. The diagnosis of thyroid pathology is currently impossible to imagine without ultrasound, which allows you to assess its volume, structure and location.
