Abstract
The article is devoted to the rationale for the use of mechanical processing in order to increasing the durability of gin and linter saw blades. This processing method provides surface work hardening of the saw blade teeth and due to the rational use of the stock of plastic properties of the metal, as the processing speed and kinetic shot energy, intensifies the degree of plastic deformation, leads to hardening surface layer of metal.
