Abstract
The article analyzes the essence and content of the book, the reading process and the features of understanding the text in terms of space and time. The process of comprehension, comprehension, interpretation of the text, which is one of the important factors in understanding the essence of reading a book, was considered on the basis of socio-philosophical ideas.
