Abstract

Our neurons love mediation. When couples argue, mediation improves the outcome of the confrontation. But that’s not all: mediation is also associated with high levels of activity in key regions belonging to the brain’s reward system. This is the first time a randomized, randomized study has demonstrated the benefits of mediation for couple conflicts and the identification of a biological signature.
