Abstract

This article provides an overview of the concept of "smart irrigation" and the results of research conducted abroad on smart irrigation. Research Institute of Cotton Breeding, Seed Production and Cultivation Agrotechnologies in Tashkent region and the results of scientific research on the development of smart irrigation using a new state-of-the-art Vetting Front Detector (WFD) to determine acceptable irrigation routines and irrigation durations for Sultan cotton varieties. In this case, the information about the acceptance of the soil with the help of WFD is sent to the web server WiFi rotor, and the duration of each irrigation is 2.0-3.5 times more than the control of production during smart irrigation. It was observed that the gross irrigation rate during the whole season was 700 m3 / ha, the net irrigation rate was 180 m3 / ha, and the water consumption was wasted up to 80 m3 / ha.
