Abstract
In this article we will discuss the psychological mood of the characters in the story “The End of Something” by Ernest Hemingway. We try to analyze the main features of the characters of this story thoroughly, however there are some uninvestigated sides as well. Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) published this story in 1925 in the collection “In Our Time”. By using many symbolic features, the writer accomplished his literary aim masterfully. A reader can observe by the dialogues of the characters their mood and behaviour sufficiently.
