The research work is aimed to present the essential role of evaluation and adaptation of materials in the contemporary English children’s literature by classifying several contemporary works considering the children’s initial point in reading the books chosen for them. The resources organized for children’s foreign literary advancement needs thorough investigation to be adapted and evaluated according to numerous classifications to be brought into the auditorium of early readers. This article’s goal is to come up with some results on reading for pleasure, reading for meaning and purpose and reading to be a part of the auditorium by studying contemporary English children’s literary representative Dick King-Smith’s several novels.
